The Virtual Learning Center consists of technologies which allow participants to connect to the Internet seamlessly and learn basic computer skills, apply for employment, and offer vendor services for online registrations.  This program is essential to assist with bridging the gap of the technology divide in rural and low wealth areas, while partnering with local communities.

The Leadership Institute program shares a M.A.P with students and parents teaching the life skills necessary for successful living. These areas include: college preparedness, decision making skills, employability, job shadowing, money management, social skills, telephone skills, and health & wellness.

M – Motivate high students and parents through pre-college workshops

MyDKids is all about helping our youth reach their potential.   The mission of all of its programs are to expand current teaching models for literacy through the incorporation of technology while maintaining North Carolina Literacy standards.

The “COOL READS FOR HOT DAYS” summer reading program is designed to maintain and increase reading levels of elementary school aged children by consistently reading and writing over the school breaks. MyDKids currently partners with Spring Valley Elementary in Durham, NC and is looking to expand to counties in eastern North Carolina.  If you are interested in working with this MyDKids program and would like to become a partner please contact us.
